When I began my work in hypnotherapy I was often surprised at the level of positive change achieved. Now, having a wealth of experience behind me, I am no longer surprised, instead I feel an enormous sense of satisfaction and privilege in being part of that change process.
I have practiced hypnotherapy in Norwich since 2014. Prior to that I lived in Australia and around greater London working in various Human Resource Management positions. My exposure to working with people in organisations led me to conclude that I was interested in working with people on a personal level. Hypnotherapy was of particular interest to me because of its solution driven nature.
I have a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling awarded by Chrysalis, a leading national hypnotherapy and counselling training provider and I am registered with the Accredited Register for Hypnotherapy. By selecting a hypnotherapy practitioner who is on this register you are guaranteeing that you have chosen a hypnotherapist whose qualification meets the requirements dictated by The Professional Standards Authority, (formerly called the Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence). The Professional Standards Authority are an independent body, accountable to Parliament. The Authority oversees statutory registers such as the General Medical Council and Nursing and Midwifery Council.
I am an accredited member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, a regulatory body who ensure that their members abide by a strict code of ethics and professional standards. The National Hypnotherapy Society’s register is the first and only current hypnotherapy register to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under its Accredited Registers scheme.
As well as working as a hypnotherapist I am a practising counsellor. I have an Advanced Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and I’m registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My training and experience as a counsellor helps me identify not only the root of a problem but enables me to understand it’s complexity. This means I can target hypnotherapy treatment more effectively.
In addition to private practice I volunteer for Norwich Mind and Sue Lambert Trust.
